Waterborne Kolorbond®
is a revolutionary, waterborne coating that is proving to be the future
for environmentally clean and safe ,coatings for plastics, rubber and
other demanding surfaces such as powder coated aluminium, GRP &
MDF.

A highly
versatile product, Waterborne Kolorbond® has been specifically
formulated to adhere to the most difficult of substrates - including
recycled rubber, low grade virgin plastic and even a recycled
plastic consisting of household rubbish held together with waste.
In the
construction industry, Waterborne Kolorbond® is the
natural complement to the infamously tough and long proven solvent-borne
Kolorbond®.

Like its solvent-borne
counterpart, Waterborne Kolorbond® will not crack, chip, peel
or fade. But, whereas applications for the solvent-borne Kolorbond®
were limited to PVC and ABS type plastics, there are no such limitations
on Waterborne Kolorbond®.
The strong bond formed
with the substrate when the coating dries, together with a high
integral film strength, means that Waterborne Kolorbond®
can be used on a far greater range of surfaces.

Applications
onto concrete, medium density fibreboard and powder coated aluminium
have all been made possible and, almost without exception, the
use of Waterborne Kolorbond® has reduced the number
of processes required to coat the substrate.

There are many other innovations,
too. As well as the Health and Safety problems associated with the use
of solvent-borne materials, all the issues of storage, transport and
destruction of waste that are complicated by high solvent-content materials
are eliminated by the use of Waterborne Kolorbond®.
In addition, Waterborne
Kolorbond® is supported by a complete range of water-based preparations
and cleaning products.

in a wide choice of colours that will satisfy almost any application.

SPECTRAKOLOR
Waterborne Kolorbond®
is now available as a brushable version called Spectrakolor that is
suitable for the DIY and decorator markets.
